Subdiffusive continuous time random walks with power-law resetting

چکیده
Abstract In the present work we revisit problem of behavior a subdiffusive continuous time random walk (CTRW) under resetting. The resetting process is considered as renewal with power-law distribution waiting times between events. We consider both case complete resetting, when an ordinary CTRW starts anew after event, and incomplete internal memory nor erased by restarts aged one. Using special representation for in obtained closed-form expressions probability density displacements mean first passage to given point asymptotic forms (including prefactors)

Power-law random walks.
In this paper, random walks with independent steps distributed according to a Q-power-law probability distribution function with Q=1/(1-q) are studied. In the case q>1, we show that (i) a stochastic representation of the location of the walk after n steps can be explicitly given (for both finite and infinite variance) and (ii) a clear connection with the superstatistics framework can be establi...
متن کاملContinuous-time random walks with internal dynamics and subdiffusive reaction-diffusion equations.
We formulate the generalized master equation for a class of continuous-time random walks in the presence of a prescribed deterministic evolution between successive transitions. This formulation is exemplified by means of an advection-diffusion and a jump-diffusion scheme. Based on this master equation, we also derive reaction-diffusion equations for subdiffusive chemical species, using a mean-f...
متن کاملRandom Walks with Lookahead on Power Law Random Graphs
We show that in power law random graphs, a.s., the expected rate at which a random walk with lookahead discovers the nodes of the graph is sublinear. Searching a graph by simulating a random walk is a natural way to abstract Web crawling [5]. Recently, the random walk simulation method has been also proposed to search P2P networks [11], [4], [10]. Therefore, it is important to characterize the ...
متن کاملOracle Continuous Time Random Walks
Abstract. In a continuous time random walk (CTRW), a random waiting time precedes each random jump. The CTRW model is useful in physics, to model diffusing particles. Its scaling limit is a time-changed process, whose densities solve an anomalous diffusion equation. Some applications require the anticipating version, an oracle continuous time random walk (OCTRW), where the next jump after any g...
متن کاملEvanescent continuous-time random walks.
We study how an evanescence process affects the number of distinct sites visited by a continuous-time random walker in one dimension. We distinguish two very different cases, namely, when evanescence can only occur concurrently with a jump, and when evanescence can occur at any time. The first is characteristic of trapping processes on a lattice, whereas the second is associated with spontaneou...
